Product description and features

The round black head resting against the cream zellige tiles immediately catches the eye. The contrast is stark: a matte circle on glossy reliefs, without transition. This shower column consists of three pieces aligned on the wall: the high rain shower head, the rectangular thermostatic plate at mid-height, and the hand shower fixed right next to it, all in matte black.

The thermostatic mixer takes the form of a vertical plate with two superimposed round buttons: one adjusts the temperature, the other controls the flow and switches between the overhead rain shower and the hand shower. The hand shower rests on a round holder, connected by a flexible black hose that hangs down to the tiles. The shower head arm extends at a right angle from the wall, positioning the rain shower directly above the floor drain.

On the cream zellige partition, the black outlines a clear geometry: a circle, a rectangle, a line. The light wood and travertine of the bench soften the contrast without erasing it. Light enters through the skylight with a wooden grid, glides over the irregular reliefs of the tiling, and brings out the deep black. The lever glides in a quarter turn, the rain falls vertically.

A matte black recessed shower column with a two-way thermostatic mixer

This model comes in five finishes, to be matched with the wall, lighting, and bathroom furniture. The matte black here plays its role as a graphic signature: it marks the lines, contrasts with light surfaces, and structures the verticality of the wall. On cream zellige, travertine, or light wood, it frames the composition without overpowering it.

Chrome remains the most neutral finish, blending into most interiors without altering their visual impact. Brushed gold and brushed rose gold lean towards warmer materials, perfect for beige or sand renders. Brushed grey offers a compromise between cold metal and living material, on anthracite tiles or polished concrete.

To compare other recessed formats and available finish nuances, you can explore the recessed shower column collection and the one dedicated to the matte black shower column.

Rain shower head 20, 25 or 30 cm: three diameters to calibrate the rain to the shower space

The rain shower head is available in three sizes. The 20 cm version is suitable for narrow showers, where the water needs to remain concentrated on the body area. The 25 cm covers the majority of standard cabins and remains the most common compromise. The 30 cm sweeps over the entire body without movement and requires a wide space, with sufficient flow to supply the grid.

Recessed into the partition, this matte black recessed shower column only exposes the essential parts: head, plate, hand shower. All plumbing is channeled behind the tiles, which requires prior planning for installation but offers a wall with no exposed pipes. The thermostatic cartridge maintains a stable temperature between the two water outlets.

This shower column finds its place in Japandi bathrooms, walk-in showers with light tiles, and projects where wood, stone, and black metal echo each other. The matte black frames the composition without dominating it. Three diameters, five finishes, a restrained geometry.

FAQ: Your Frequently Asked Questions about Our Products

How to choose a shower column that's right for your bathroom?

To choose a suitable shower column, consider three essential criteria: the size of your space, the type of mixer (thermostatic or mechanical), and your available water pressure.

Check the height (generally between 110 and 150 cm) and its compatibility with your water supply.

Finally, match the finish (chrome, matte black, brushed gold) with your bathroom's style.

Which materials should be prioritized for a durable shower column?

Solid brass is the most durable material for a shower column: it resists corrosion and limescale. It is designed to offer excellent daily durability.

Stainless steel (304 stainless steel) is an excellent alternative for its modern appearance and resistance to humidity.

Conversely, avoid shower columns made of zamac or chrome-plated plastic: they are inexpensive but deteriorate quickly (2 to 5 years).

How do I clean and maintain my rocking chair?

Maintenance depends on the chosen model.

Fabric versions, depending on the reference, have removable covers that can be machine washed at low temperatures. Outdoor models can be cleaned with a soft cloth, lukewarm water, and non-abrasive soap.

Always refer to the care instructions on the product page.

Why choose a thermostatic mixer for your shower column?

The thermostatic mixer offers three major advantages compared to a classic mechanical mixer.

First, safety: it maintains a constant water temperature and automatically locks at 38°C, limiting sudden temperature variations for greater user comfort.

Next, comfort: no need to adjust the temperature for each shower; it is memorized and instantaneous.

Finally, water and energy savings: by avoiding repeated adjustments, a thermostatic mixer contributes to more economical water usage.

Ideal for families with children, the elderly, and anyone looking for premium daily comfort.

What width of rain shower head should you choose based on the size of your shower?

The width of the rain shower head should be proportionate to your shower space. For a standard shower (80x80 cm), a shower head of 20 to 25 cm is ideal.

For a walk-in shower or a 90x120 cm space, opt for a 30 cm minimum to fully enjoy the rain effect.

The 40 cm, on the other hand, transforms your shower into a true spa experience: enveloping sensation, generous flow, and total immersion, ideal for large showers and home wellness enthusiasts. For this size, ensure a water pressure of at least 2 bar to fully exploit its potential.

How to install a shower column without calling a plumber?

Installing a shower column yourself is entirely possible with a few basic tools: an adjustable wrench, a spirit level, a tape measure, a drill, and PTFE tape.

Start by turning off the water supply, removing the old equipment, then fixing the wall fittings at the correct height (110 cm for the mixer, 200-210 cm for the shower head). Screw on the column, check the level, tighten the fittings with PTFE tape to prevent leaks, then test the water supply.

The operation takes on average 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. All columns come with detailed instructions and the necessary fixings for installation without a plumber.
