Livia – Chrome Concealed Shower System

A circular head of polished chrome, suspended from a short horizontal arm, captures the light in the center of the wall. Below it, a cylindrical mixer tap flush with the wall extends the same polished line. No visible pipes, no rods, no exposed plates. This recessed chrome shower column consists of just two discs and an arm, set against the wood.

The contrast does all the work. The mirrored chrome reflects the vertical slats of the wooden battens behind it, and the roundness of the rain showerhead echoes the base of the mixer tap. Nothing protrudes, nothing dominates. The glass wall lets in light from the undergrowth, and the metal lights up without dazzling.

For a warmer register, brushed gold softens the contrast on light walls, and brushed rose gold pushes the look towards copper. The recessed chrome shower column finds its place on textured surfaces: vertical paneling, zellige tiles, reconstituted stone, polished concrete. The polished metal creates a sharp point that counterbalances the vibrant surfaces. On a plain wall, the effect shifts towards sobriety, almost clinical depending on the lighting.
