Product description and features

The dark gray marble covers the entire back wall. White veins intersect in an X shape just behind the rain showerhead, a deep mineral background, and a dull reflective surface. This brushed gray recessed shower column features three dark pieces: a large disc suspended from a short arm, and lower down, a round mixer with a flat lever, all in an anthracite brushed finish.

The color of the pieces leans towards dark gray, almost black, with a satin grain that reflects no shine. The metal appears like a shadow on the marble, not as an added accessory. The horizontal arm cuts across the vertical veins, the roundness of the head echoes that of the mixer, and the whole fits into the background design without disrupting it.

On a dark marble wall, a veined stone, or large stone-effect tiles, the result remains coherent: the metal disappears into the mass, and only the geometry stands out. The shower ceases to be an installed object and becomes a detail etched into the structure.

A recessed shower column in brushed satin gray

The rain showerhead comes in three diameters: 20 cm, 25 cm, and 30 cm. The 20 cm fits into narrow alcoves and maintains the correct proportion on small walls. The 25 cm remains the versatile choice for a standard walk-in shower. The 30 cm transforms the water flow into a wide sheet and requires significant ceiling height.

Beyond the brushed gray shown here, the same recessed shower column is available in brushed gold to warm up the look on light walls, brushed rose gold for a copper tone, polished chrome for a cool and reflective effect, or matte black for total light absorption.

Choosing the finish means adjusting its relationship with the wall. Brushed gray blends into dark mineral surfaces; chrome would create a strong point of contrast, and matte black would go beyond blending.

To compare the geometries and sizes of showerheads, see all recessed shower columns. To maintain the same dark finish on other formats, exposed or hydromassage columns, the brushed gray shower columns selection groups models in the same shade.

The brushed gray rain showerhead on dark mineral walls

The recessed brushed gray requires backgrounds that extend it rather than highlight it. Veined gray marble, dark Burgundy stone, anthracite waxed concrete, charcoal terrazzo: on these materials, the finish holds its place without dominating. On a bright white wall, the opposite effect occurs, the metal becomes a dark spot in a light mass, and the balance shifts.

The recessed format reinforces this logic. The piping runs inside the wall, with only the three visible pieces remaining on the surface. The recessed shower column merges with the wall material instead of being placed on it.

Three dark pieces, a mineral background, the rest inside the wall.

FAQ: Your Frequently Asked Questions about Our Products

How to choose a shower column that's right for your bathroom?

To choose a suitable shower column, consider three essential criteria: the size of your space, the type of mixer (thermostatic or mechanical), and your available water pressure.

Check the height (generally between 110 and 150 cm) and its compatibility with your water supply.

Finally, match the finish (chrome, matte black, brushed gold) with your bathroom's style.

Which materials should be prioritized for a durable shower column?

Solid brass is the most durable material for a shower column: it resists corrosion and limescale. It is designed to offer excellent daily durability.

Stainless steel (304 stainless steel) is an excellent alternative for its modern appearance and resistance to humidity.

Conversely, avoid shower columns made of zamac or chrome-plated plastic: they are inexpensive but deteriorate quickly (2 to 5 years).

How do I clean and maintain my rocking chair?

Maintenance depends on the chosen model.

Fabric versions, depending on the reference, have removable covers that can be machine washed at low temperatures. Outdoor models can be cleaned with a soft cloth, lukewarm water, and non-abrasive soap.

Always refer to the care instructions on the product page.

Why choose a thermostatic mixer for your shower column?

The thermostatic mixer offers three major advantages compared to a classic mechanical mixer.

First, safety: it maintains a constant water temperature and automatically locks at 38°C, limiting sudden temperature variations for greater user comfort.

Next, comfort: no need to adjust the temperature for each shower; it is memorized and instantaneous.

Finally, water and energy savings: by avoiding repeated adjustments, a thermostatic mixer contributes to more economical water usage.

Ideal for families with children, the elderly, and anyone looking for premium daily comfort.

What width of rain shower head should you choose based on the size of your shower?

The width of the rain shower head should be proportionate to your shower space. For a standard shower (80x80 cm), a shower head of 20 to 25 cm is ideal.

For a walk-in shower or a 90x120 cm space, opt for a 30 cm minimum to fully enjoy the rain effect.

The 40 cm, on the other hand, transforms your shower into a true spa experience: enveloping sensation, generous flow, and total immersion, ideal for large showers and home wellness enthusiasts. For this size, ensure a water pressure of at least 2 bar to fully exploit its potential.

How to install a shower column without calling a plumber?

Installing a shower column yourself is entirely possible with a few basic tools: an adjustable wrench, a spirit level, a tape measure, a drill, and PTFE tape.

Start by turning off the water supply, removing the old equipment, then fixing the wall fittings at the correct height (110 cm for the mixer, 200-210 cm for the shower head). Screw on the column, check the level, tighten the fittings with PTFE tape to prevent leaks, then test the water supply.

The operation takes on average 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. All columns come with detailed instructions and the necessary fixings for installation without a plumber.
